Skylight's Production and Community Engagement Intern will work beside professional producers, the artistic team and executive staff to engage the community throughout the process of mounting the world premiere play, "Driven," by Boni B. Alvarez which explores Filipino American identity. As a key member of the staff, you'll help to create an open dialogue with groups that the play's themes address. You'll be integral to fostering community, while informing creative decisions, and helping to create communications (including video, social media), as well as improving audience experience.
Ideally, the Intern must be enthusiastic about community outreach and participation, comfortable interacting with people with different experiences and points of view, have the ability to multi-task, and an aptitude for coordinating, organizing and researching with an attention to detail. They must be an effective communicator (written and oral), possess solid time-management skills, be flexible, collaborative, a problem-solver, and a self-starter, love theatre and have a basic understanding of the production process and project support. They should have general office/administrative experience, and be comfortable with Microsoft Office programs. Video production and editing skills a definite plus. Evening and weekend hours are required. Must have reliable transportation
