COVID-19 & Public Health Update

We are continuing to closely monitor developments around COVID-19 and are following guidelines provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the CA Department of Public Health, and the City of Los Angeles.

Skylight staff will continue to work remotely as much as possible and may not be immediately available by phone. If you do call us and we don't answer, please leave us a message. Our number is (213) 761-7061. For performance or ticket related questions contact the, for all other inquiries

At the theatre

Skylight Theatre Company and Playwrights' Arena are committed to providing and maintaining a gathering place that is free of known hazards. In order to safeguard the health of our entire community, we are requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccinations for all employees and audiences moving forward.

Our audience policy requires complete Covid-19 vaccinations before the date of attendance, which is defined as fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.

  • We will accept proof at the theater via a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Mask-wearing at all times indoors is required for all audience members and staff, regardless of vaccination status, until further notice.
  • Currently we are not admitting anyone under the age of 12.
  • There is no drinking or eating in the theater (including personal water bottles).
  • Those that require a reasonable accommodation due to a medical condition or closely held religious belief should email us at for more information.

We are upgrading our theater to meet and/or exceed air filtration standards as recommended by the CDC. Some of these changes will be visible (new air purifiers in the bathrooms), while others will not be (for example: additional air purifiers in the lobby and the performance/audience space ).

Our ticket policies reflect current circumstances. Please check the website before purchasing a ticket. If you have an immediate need or questions call or email us at the Box Office if you have an immediate need..

We recognize that public health guidelines may change in the coming months and ask that you bear with us as we make the necessary safety adjustments. We also ask that audiences do their part to protect themselves and others by reviewing and agreeing to the attendance protocols before attending our theater.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to Skylight!
