THE STORY: It’s just another day on set shooting porn in the Valley. Except on this particular day, everything that can go wrong, does. Ava, an adult entertainment veteran, shows up for what she presumes will be just another day of shooting porn. But her director, Eric, is in shambles, trying to juggle a messy divorce with the logistics of shooting on a tight schedule with little help. Her male partner for the day tests positive for Gonorrhea so a replacement has to be found quickly - and when that replacement, Jonny, shows up, it’s clear that he’s the last person on earth that Ava wants to be anywhere near…

Ruth Fowler is a Welsh playwright, journalist, screenwriter, director and photographer living in Los Angeles. Her first book, No Man's Land, was published by Penguin and she has written for publications as diverse as the Guardian, The Independent, The New York Times and more. Her play, 'bled for the household truth', received its world premiere at Rogue Machine Theatre in East Hollywood and her fifty minute, one act play 'The Woman is Perfected' is about to premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival at The Broadwater LA. Chickenheads was written after spending six months on porn sets in the San Fernando Valley for The Guardian during the concerns over FOSTA and SESTA. It has received the stamp of industry approval.
