The Devil’s Wife (2017)

Written by Tom Jacobson
Directed by Eric Hoff

Inspired by an ancient Italian folktale
A "WICKEDLY GOOD" Steampunk Fable... of Gothic Proportions!

A handsome, wealthy landowner who woos three sisters isn’t what he seems. But neither are they. A harrowing comedy, that goes to hell.

Synopsis: Three sisters with a vast but bankrupt estate engage the services of a handsome lawyer who proposes an unusual solution: he will marry one of them and support the whole family if a third of their acres become community property. The eldest sister, Bonita, is reluctant to marry but agrees for the good of her siblings. Her new husband, Nick, has only one rule: Bonita must never go in the basement, a regulation enforced by Ratel, an ancient and disrespectful servant. Bonita is lured into the basement when she sees it is full of gold and is never seen again. When Nick gives her sisters the sad news, the middle sister, Dulce, proposes taking her sister's place, but soon she too enters the forbidden basement and disappears, seduced by the handsome men lurking there. Devastated, frightened and suspicious, the third sister, Sofia, is forced to marry Nick by the agreement she and her sisters signed, and finds out her husband is not who he seems. And neither is the servant. Nor the mysterious basement. Does Sofia have the power to save not only herself and her sisters, but the whole world.
